Hi. I recently came across problems with my x220 such as blue screen of death alot and so I decided to clean install with window 7 professional (mine shipped with window 7 home).
When I tried a day ago to recovery with factory settings through recovery cd I burnt I realized I couldn't ( I wanted to go back to copy swtools). It says on the first disk that I didn't have the same window 7 I believe? Anyways so then I press from image and the software told me to insert the last dvd in the recovery cds and I did but it couldn't detect a image. I then gave up on gettin swtools and just installed all the drivers/software through thinkvantage update. Now I have a few questions just in case problem arises in the future...
-my thinkvantage blue button doesn't work so how do I get that working
-my recovery disc contains 1 cd, 2 dvd...total of 3 is that right? How do i get it working ( I checked looks like it burnt right)?
I also have no ghosting but I have a little backlight bleed in bottom left corner about a thumb size...should I bother with a exchange?

If your Thinkpad shipped with windows 7 home premium, you cannot clean install windows 7 professional with the same COA.
