I have the IPS panel x220, looks great...no ghosting, or any other issues.

I do see a slight tearing when scrolling in firefox though, different sites, similar tearing, anyone else?

I am at 60hz, even on battery, still shows up a bit.

Anyone else see this when scrolling on battery? I still haven't needed to plug it in to try on AC yet, hhaaha.

What's an example of a webpage where you can rather easily reproduce tearing? Also, do you have Aero enabled or disabled?

I notice this happening sometimes in FireFox on my W520 when I have an unminimized MSN window behind it. The tear occurs at the borders of the MSN window. Are you running MSN as well?

Which version of Firefox? Hardware acceleration enabled? Windows 7? Smooth-scrolling enabled in the options?

    Version: 4.0.1
    HW Acceleration: Yes
    Windows 7: Yes
Smooth scrolling: No, but enabling it does fix the tearing

Are you on Integrated, Optimus, or Discrete?

I'm not seeing any tearing with Nightly 7.0a1 on my T400, or 7.0a1 on my X100e.

    x220 only ... so HD 3000.

Where did you enable smooth scrolling?

Even scrolling this site it's there ... or go to slickdeals and scroll, the words are impossible to read, which is OK, just odd...and curious if others see it.

Go to about:support, and scroll to the bottom. Are both Direct2D and DirectWrite enabled?

Yes, they are both enabled. I am in Optimus mode, and Firefox reports that it is using the iGPU.
