hi, i ran across an x220 (t) for sale in the newspaper, i really want to purchase it but i am unsure about some things

i used to own an x201 and i thought it was pretty durable, is the x220t anything like it? or do i have to worry about some weaknesses because of only having one hinge

it has scuffs on the screen, not visible when it is on but they are there when it is off, if i wanted to replace the screen could i replace it with a normal x220 ips screen? i really don't care about the touch features

the condition is excellent and comes with one 6 cell battery and a slice for the price of $295 , is this a good price or..should i worry in case i want to resell i don't want an issue..

They are pretty solid but not indestructible. Unless it was severely abused you'll be fine.

No. You'd need a tablet screen.

As long as it hasn't fallen off the truck, that's a great price.

    Good luck.

Build quality wise it should be at least as good as the x201, but form factor wise, it'll be thicker and heavier by virtue of having the tablet component.

Nonetheless, depending on the spec, $300 is a good to very good deal. I think base-spec units are going for about $400 on eBay.

The IPS screen on the X220 is the same panel as the X220t if I'm not mistaken but you would need the digitizer as well if you want to keep the tablet capabilities.

$295 with 6 cells main and 6 cells slice, it is an excellent price.
