OK praise jesus, its alive
now my problem is using a win8 UEFI disk from my other x230 throws all kinds of error codes like "wrong time" wrong chipset ID etc.....do i really have to reinstall windows on this machine..or is there any way to reset the UEFI settings?
edit: how does the computer know that im using the wrong motherboard type? if i completely replaced the motherboard and im using a new hard drive then what is it comparing it to?Last edited: Oct 9, 2015 -
i talked to Lenovo Tech Support they said to call them back monday and i guess they will hook me up with something to help get rid of the boot errors
also, the UEFI Win8.1 disk DOES boot right into windows when swapped over from the other x230...it didnt at first idk why
i also dont know what it is that fixed the laptop i reconnected the motherboard same way as i did the 1st time and voila
x230 - replaced motherboard, blank screen ??
