I recently did a clean install of windows 8 pro on my thinkpad x230. I have all the drivers installed in device manager (no exclamation points!) however I found the monitor inf file on lenovos support site. When I go to update the driver from the generic pnp monitor I have 3 choices of monitor class and I'm not sure which I should use for an x230 with ips display.
I don't have the list in front of my but I will update it later today when I have the laptop in front of me. It lists them by resolution and there is something like thinkpad monitor, flexview, and one other one.
I'm not certain which one to choose. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Here is some updated info. The driver link is here - ThinkPad Monitor INF File for Windows 8 (32-bit, 64-bit) - ThinkPad
When I try to update the driver is lists 3 different "types" of display.
Thinkpad Display
Thinkpad Maxbright display
Wide viewing angle & High density flexview display
All three have an option my display resolution of 1366x768. Any idea on which one is the correct one? Thanks. -
The last one. -
Just out of curiosity: Do you notice any difference if you use that last profile?
x230 Windows 8 Monitor INF and ICC profile - which one?
