    Hi All,

I would like to add Crucial m500 256gb msata drive to lenovo x230 as additional drive. Unfortunately i got 2101 detection error on boot and it looks that it is very common problem.
Is this problem finally resolved? Or crucial still has no firm solution?

Does it require msata firmware update? How it may be done in case when notebook fails to detect it?

Does it make sense to consider to replace it by other msata? Which one? available options are:
    - Plextor M5M 256GB mSATA 6 Gb/s MLC (PX-256M5M)
    - Toshiba 256GB mSATA MLC (THNSNH256GMCT)
    - Toshiba 256GB mSATA MLC (THNSNH256GMCT4PAGD)

I don't see a reason it would fail. My guess would be a faulty drive. I put my Intel mSATA SSD into my X220i with the original firmware without issue.
