So this problem just started yesterday. I've had my x230 since August. The issue is that when I close the lid for it to go to sleep, or press Fn + F4, the x230 ends up forcing shutdown. When I open the lid or swipe my finger on the fingerprint, it turns on again and the screen comes up that it was not shut down normally.

I went to power manager and it says when the lid is closed it should go to sleep, same with Fn + F4. So I'm not sure what the problem is. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

seems like I solved the issue. I noticed it was only happening with my battery slice, which was at 0%. The problem was that it was not switching over to my main battery. I got the new version of Power Manager (v6.36) and it looks to have solved the problem for now.
