    x230 minidisplay to HDMI - audio not working

    As the title states. Using a minidisplay to HDMI adapter to a Denon receiver. Video will work but audio doesn't seem to pass through. Does not even detect another sound source. The adapter works flawlessly with my macbook air, so I believe it's a computer issue not a adapter issue. It's a windows 8 machine if that makes a difference. Any ideas?
