I have just ordered a US x230- realising the keyboard layout will be slightly different. However, I then noticed the ENTER key is different between the two laptops. The UK has the larger ENTER and the US keyboard has a smaller version.
Would I be able to buy a UK keyboard for a US x230? Surely Lenovo wouldn't have created two separate x230 designs simply for a keyboard button layout??

The UK keyboard will work just fine on your machine, as would any other X230 keyboard, be it Hebrew, Swiss, or any other layout offered by Lenovo.

I'm not sure if you understand my point- the size of the US enter key is not the same as the UK enter key:

I understand your point perfectly well. These two keys have always been of different size. Almost any non-US layout that I can think of has the large "enter" key just like the UK one.
Which makes absolutely no difference, since the overall dimension of the keyboard along with mounting points are exactly the same.
This post brought to you courtesy of U.S. built Lenovo T43p with a Slovenian keyboard layout.
x230 will a UK keyboard work with a US x230?
