Hi, Intel finally released their WiDi drivers for windows 8, so I bought a PTV3000 to test out.

The laptop wont detect the PTV at all unless I set the device to Miracast. The laptop doesn't support miracast which makes it strange. I thought the device may be defective so I replaced it and the new one does the same thing.

Unfortunately I don't have any other devices or laptops to test but I was wondering if anyone was able to get WiDi working on the x230t with W8.

    Thanks!

I am not running Windows 8, but an X220 with Windows 7 and a Netgear PTV2000. Works pretty well, but sometimes there are glitches. After it's been idle for awhile, sometimes I have to turn the device off, then back on, then reboot the laptop for it to see the device.
