i am eagerly awaiting a non-ssd drive option for cost and size limitation reasons. when will this option be available? is it possible they wouldnt release a version like this? considering some of the stuff i've read about the macbook air comparisons between the ssd version and the hdd version, i dont think there is a remarkable amount of benefit to be had with the ssd version. maybe this wont be the case with the x300. i'm also hoping to see some increased processor speeds as well. any word on any of this?

how about searching the forums and capitalising the first letter of each sentence
Anyway, again, no one knows. You may want to consider the X200 which is rumoured to be coming out around June.

Tell me about the x200!
(is that better?) -
LOL how about searching the forum again...
theres a topic on here about it. I'll post the link when I have time.

Search sux! Tried it and didn't find much!

Yeah, I'd buy the X300 like a shot if only it came with the option of a decent sized HDD.

Weird, actually the X300 is available in Switzerland with a 120GB HDD option...
-
really?? have a link??
maybe the option is coming soon to the states! -
This is an excerpt from X300's hardware manual (p. 47):
"Solid state drive (some models)
v 64 GB, 8 mm high, SATA interface
v 64 GB, 8 mm high, SATA interface, with Bulk Encryption
Hard disk drive (some models)
v 120 GB, 5400 rpm, 8 mm high [viz. 1.8'' HDD], MicroSATA interface" -
The processor is too weak for me to justify that much money for it.
