Alright I have it in hands and am using my new baby. Wow the keyboard is the greatest thing I have ever touched. A little loud but don't mind at all.

So I made the recovery disks. will those work regardless of what I do to the computer at this point. Completly reformating the harddrive and such?

Also I have all the drivers and such all set already downloaded ready to go, but just wondering if there is any special order, or special way to install them for them to work?

Also I can't get my logitec bluetooth mouse working. I have it turned on, and I click on my bluetooth places but it doesn't find it. Am I missing somthing here?

    thanks a lot

The recovery discs should work regardless of what you do to the computer. Yes, they will format and begin to install a new installation of Windows onto the hard disk. When I normally format, and get to the stage of installing drivers, I just install them in any order. I don't think it matters all that much in which order you do install them. I don't know much abut bluetooth mice, so I can't help you there, sorry.

Access connections should be installed after wireless drivers are installed.

Just a quick interposed question here if you'll excuse me.

How did you make the recovery disks ? Did you burn them onto CD/DVD ? I have a T60 which I believe is similar but heavier than an x60 ( built-in CD/DVD ) but doesn't have a floppy drive which I don't think the x60 has either.

Did you use an external USB floppy drive ?

You'd probably need like 5,000 floppies to make it fit that is assuming you could get it to work. You can use an external burner to make the discs. A DVD burner is probably most practical as it takes quite a few CDs.

Are floppies even available in stores anymore?

Apologies regarding the floppy question re Recovery Disks - what I was confusing were Recovery Disks and Diagnostic Disks - the latter should be recorded on floppies ? - correct ?
