    Hello

I have 2 x60s and I have this annoying problem:

mostly when on DC power supply, suddenly the monitor goes dark, computer still running normal

I press fn-f4 to put it to sleep, then wake it up and it the monitor is on again.

then again after some time and i have to do it again

any ideas what is causing this behavior?

    thanks!

You could try replacing the inverter, but the most likely the screen/bulb is going bad, which is not surprising given the X60 is now almost 10 years old. Replacing the bulb is fairly cheap, but a very tedious job.
