One model of the T60, they must be kidding. I'll go with the ACER 8200.

Euclid Computer is the first retailer i've seen outside of Lenovo.com that has the product on their site and available for purchase though -- of course no shipping date is indicated. I'm going to start recommending that people just buy the previous version of all Lenovo laptops because it seems it takes eternity between announcing a notebook and actually shipping them. Oyvey.

I'm curious about that. I hope it will be not to much.....
Otherwise I will going to have serious doubts on buying me a Thinkpad. I pity the sales dept. was not allowed to tell me anything about prices :(

    ah, thanks!
I don't need one of the highest-end range of T60 models. "high-medium" would be OK for me. Although it is not getting clear to me what all these little differences are between models, of which it seems that they have the same specs. I mean, when I'm comparing specs of 2 TP models, they are/ look the same, but they are actually different models (e.g. they have a different modelnumber indeed).

There are probably small differences like one has bluetooth and the other does not or battery size, but otherwise look simillar.

Ah, that way. I just kept thinking 'Am I crazy or what?!?' because couldn't find any differences. What I did understand that there are differences in models per region. When I take a look in some of the webshops here, I see that we can choose for an English or Dutch version of Windows.

Also I am glad that the sales rep. was able to answer my question about whether there is a shop I can go to to see the TP in person (I looked for shops in my neighborhood, but no shop is selling thinkpads here).

In the meanwhile a new tabook came online.

edit: I can't find it through searching the forum, but as you all may know, I'm new to the tabook thing.
...The question is what the 'workhorse or global or entry' column means?

this is probably a dumb question, but if you configure an Express System like the x60 with more memory, is it no longer Express (ie, doesn't come in the 2 weeks promised?)
