I just plugged my x60s into an external monitor for the first time and I am not impressed. I'm outputting at 1280 x 1024 and it doesn't look very good. Kind of blurry, you know? I don't know how long I could work on a screen like this.

I'm using the same monitor and cable that work great on my desktop (and at the same resolution, of course), but it's not so great with this laptop.

Anyone else had any experience with this?

I guess I'm kind of hoping that there's some setting or driver somewhere that will fix it somehow... but I guess it's probably just a hardware issue.

Too bad, too. It's a big flaw for me for such a great notebook.

but it's my LCD's native res. If I set it to a lower setting, the screen will be blurry anyway.

Do you have experience with the x60s?

I found how to fix this. if you experience the following issues, you'll benefit from the fix as well: If you move the mouse cursor to the extreme left, half of the cursor moves off the screen.

If that happens to you, then all you need to do is press the "Auto Adjust" button on the monitor and voila! everything is clear as it should be.
