Which would you take the x60t over a x61?

A x60t with 1.83 ghz Intel Core Duo,
    or a x61 with 2.2ghz c2d

    Both priced similar?

How is that even a question? A slower, older notebook, or a newer faster one. IF the price is right go with the x61

For some people the tablet does it for them. I definitely agree with you.

This is a poll to see what people think...

    but there's an x61 tablet...

I'm confused. Why would you take an x60 tablet?

The tablet feature gets old quick, a few months down the road you're going to wish you had a more powerful system. Unless you really need a tablet, I recommend the X61.

I assume you're thinking of canceling the X61 for a X60t? Don't do it, by the time that X60t arrives, your X61 would've arrived aready.

The performance difference between the CPUs for typical tasks is marginal. If you would like a tablet, then get the X60t otherwise the X61.
