Hi there,
I recently purchased a new tablet from a reasonably trustworthy seller on Ebay. (It's a risk, I know, but the sale seemed entirely legitimate.) One thing I noticed that most the Ebay x61t's lacked was the Intel Turbo Memory option. I think I may want to get the memory. I understand the T61 is upgradable, but is the x61 tablet also easily upgradable for Intel Turbo Memory?
It also came with a Intel Core 2 Duo 1.6GHZ. I think that will suit me fine, but maybe someday I may consider putting another processor in it. I read on some review that the Core Duo/Core 2 Duo is some kind of rare processor that, for some reason, you can pull it off a notebook motherboard in much the same way you would a desktop motherboard and be able to upgrade it. Has anyone had any experience/concerns/suggestions on this?
Many thanks in advance for any answers you may provide.

I would not skip Turbo Memory altogether. Either the memory or the driver has been identified as the culprit of many BSOD errors.
I believe the X61t's processors are soldered directly on the system board. The chip only comes in BGA packaging, and BGA chips don't fit in a socket, but soldered onto the PCB. Lenovo's support site seems to be down at the moment. I can confirm it if I can access the HMM.
The regular voltage processors are available in both PGA and BGA packaging. PGA chips fit into a socket.
x61 Tablet - Can I get a turbo memory upgrade? What about processor?
