I just picked up a new X61 with the dock. Everything works great
but the CD drive. You can hit the button and it opens, the OS
knows there's a CD drive there but no matter what you do if you
put a CD in it, the OS doesn't see anything. Is this a glitch that I need to dw a driver for or is it just a bad cd drive or dock?
BTW everything else works fine on the dock, usb ports vid etc.

    Thanks

Try running PC-Doctor or System Toolbox if you've done your updates to see if it says anything.

it comes back with an error saying wrong media. I have tried dvd cd and reg cd and cdrw's. So I'm thinking this thing is no good.
