Just taken x61 to work and grabbed my x201 charger. The x61 battery was run all the way down. Got to work, plugged in the charger and none of the indicator lights are coming on.

If I was at home I could test whether its the charger by plugging into my x201, but is there anything I can do to test whilst at work?

Also, if it is the laptop which is at fault, what is it likely to be? I removed the battery and charged and the indicator lights still didnt come on :s

EDIT: The plug socket at work is definitely functioning, im just about to change the fuse in my charger plug (although this seems unlikely).

Im worried that it's the laptop and how would I fix it?!?!

If you've used a known good Lenovo charger and removed the battery, I would try with the battery and AC adapter removed, hold down the power button for 30 seconds 2-3 times, then try to power it back on. If it still doesn't power on, could be a bad motherboard.

I know that the battery was pretty much empty to begin with, which is what made me stick the charger in.

It's taken a few knocks recently- is there something inside which could have got damaged and I could replace?
