Hi, I have an x61 with 4GB memory (Im not sure if there is a setting in the BIOS to allow all memory to be seen?) and I have a SSD from another laptop with Windows 7, 64 bit. I insert into my X61 and regardless of whether I set the HDD setting to "AHCI" or "Compatability" it wont work.

The computer boots up and it hits the GRUB screen (because I have Windows 7 and Ubuntu in a dual boot). I select Windows 7, it begins to show the Windows graphic with the floating bits and then I get a BSOD........

    Could somebody please help?

EDIT: The SSD is an 80GB Intel X25-M

You need to reinstall Windows... you can't just hot-swap Windows installs if the other laptop has significantly different hardware.
