I really doubt if I can ever receive my order, it has been postponded for so many times. I know others ordered x61 on 6/5 already got their laptop 1 month ago. I called and email the customer service for coutless times, and got responses like, "sometimes things happed", "rebook won't help", "there is a 12" screen shortage", "there is a web error"...etc, and none of they tried to help. I wonder how many people are still waiting for x61?

I know a batch of X61(s) were just recently shipped. Mine should come tomorrow (7/30), as well as a couple others on this forum. What parts did you order? Perhaps there's a parts shortage.

Lol, so true! From the stories I've read here if you cancel your order Lenovo will disregard your request and process your order immediately.

You know, I'm beginning to wonder if Lenovo put those X61's on their website too soon, before production was up high enough to satisfy pent-up demand. Could be a marketing decision over-riding warning from manufacturing, as so often happens in electronics (see Nintendo Wii and Playstation 3 as recent examples).

It seems like production finally caught up around mid-july, which is why laptops are now shipping a lot faster.
