I recently received my x61 tablet and have decided that i will not use the tablet function as much as i anticipated. i would like to return it and get a thinkpad without the tablet feature. first, lenovo will not charge me a restocking fee if i return this and buy another thinkpad will they? secondly, do you think i would be better off selling this on ebay? i have opened the box and used it... but i got it loaded up for only $1350 because of spp, fatwallet, and tailormade, do you think i could get that much for it on ebay?

lastly, i am trying to decide what to order ot replace it. i had decided on the x61s until i read that the x60s has longer battery life. when i checked lenovo's website i realized that the x60s is more expensive than the x61s. why is this? even though the x61s has the santa rosa platform, is the x60s still a better notebook?

    thanks.

You shouldn't have a problem getting what you paid for if it's really "loaded". Can't really tell you without the specs on your x61t. Based on what I've read, the X60s batter life is a tad bit better than than x61s. The x60s is a great laptop as well without the Santa Rosa chip. If all else are equal, I would go with the latest technology

This is from my experience. I ordered a T60 Widescreen couple months ago, and then decided that it's too big to carry it around. So I returned and ordered an X61 tablet instead.

I was allowed to return without a restocking fee, the restriction was the X61 I order must be 15% more expensive then the T60 I was returning. Which was not a problem going from T60 to X61t.
