after reading pdf for a day with my new x61t in tablet mode, I found something very irritating. with AC power plugged in, it's really hard to use the tablet in portrait mode.
The thing is: If I hold the tablet on the battery with my right hand (this is comfortable), then the AC power plug will be at the button and it's hard to put on my lap.
When I put the battery into my left hand, the power plug will be on top and the laptop rests easily on my belly. However, I notice that the hot air exit is now at the button, which is not good coz I somehow block the air flow.
How do you put you tablet in portrait mode with AC power? It would be so much better if AC power and air exit are on the same side.![]()
PS: I have one idea that is to find an "L" shape adapter for AC power plug so that it won't stick out of the tablet but goes along with it.![]()

Click me
"My x61t has SXGA+, i.e., 1050 pixel width in portrait mode, just perfect for browsing.
To achieve this with a widescreen, this would require 1600x1050 pixels Confused.
Anyway I figured for me it is better to stay in landscape mode permanently because:
* on the left of my x61t there is the fan outlet
* on the right there is the power supply cable and the heavy battery opposite to it
so both ways it is not comfortable to hold in portrait mode"
It looks like some other ppl feel the same as I do, no matter which side (AC power plug or Air exit) is downwards, it is not fine. -
Seems like you could unplug it while you are holding it and reading.... Just sayin'. I mean the battery lasts what? 3-4 hrs minimum? How long was that PDF?
