    Hello,

finger input does not work on a brand new X61 tablet.
I ordered 12.1" MultiView + MultiTouch WVA XGA TFT ,
so it should have dual finger/stylus input. The OS is factory Win XP downgrade, not sure if that is the problem.

    Thanks!

Saying something doesn't working isn't very insightful.

OK, the situation is as follows: the stylus works, but there is absolutely no response to the finger tapping, pressing, etc. I just got advised to reinstall the Lenovo drivers. For the lack of a better idea, I will eventually do that. Any other suggestions, which settings I can try to check? Thanks.

look in control panel, and find the control for "Touch Panel". If it is not there, then you may not have a touch screen, and will have to send it back. If you do have the Touch Panel control, the see if you can calibrate the touch screen. If not, then you have either a driver or hardware problem. Down load the latest drivers, uninstall, and reinstall the new ones. If it still wont calibrate, call Lenovo for a box...

Just as a reference, in case someone faces the same problem: Lenovo tech support people told me that this screen does not support multi-touch (contrary to what was listed in selection window.) Got RMA and will be shipping it back on Monday. Overall, the experience is a big disappointment compared to my old X60s.
