Hello, I was curious if this was the same for everyone. I ordered my y410p on Monday and it said the ship day was the 20th, arriving on the 24th. I checked today and it says the ship day is Decemeber 31st, arrival time January 4th 2014!!! ? anyone else experience this? I have emailed them but they take awhile to reply.

When calling, complain a bit, they usually throw in free goodies to make up for the delays and mixups.

Honestly that was the reason I canceled my Lenovo order and bought a MSI GE40. Lenovo does this a lot based on posts here and in other forums. That and the fact that they keep pushing the SLI GT750 card release back month after month.

Personally, i would have recommended the W230ST over the GT40, but hey.

    1. Where are you ordering from?

    2. I bought mine last August and it arrived 3 (business) days after I placed the order. I am in the US and ordered the 9916 (24GBSSD+900p screen)

I'm ordering from British Columbia, Canada.

Ordered on Monday, I called today they said it is because they are sold out and are currently making more... No idea when it will come. I am debating if I should cancel and order something else but I don't know if I am going to find anything close to this great deal in Canada. Any ideas? opinions? thoughts? I did not want to go beyond $900 (Including tax)

Well, what model did you order? Personally, here are some buying tips:
    - Avoid GT755M. Get one with a 750M if you can. The reason is, GT755M is just overclocked 750M, and the 755 does not support SLI.
    - Get the 900p display. Looks more vibrant than the 768p one too.
    - 24GB SSD is purely optional, but i recommend it, because some models do not ship with the connectors, and these are High-Speed M.2 connectors, which you might consider upgrading next year when M.2 SSD's become the norm
    - Blu ray is optional, buy it only if you need it

I ordered the cheapest y410p model, mostly from money, but I have a separate monitor for when I hardcore game. I really want the SSD but it was hard enough convincing the wife to spend $900 on a laptop I don't want to push it, haha. No interest in Blu ray.

What I wanted was something that could handle gaming enough to last me awhile, replace my very aged desktop and do school work on. This was what I found to be the best possible deal out there, short of spending 1200+ in order to play some games.

You could have gotten a desktop. For 700$, you can build something with an i5 Quad-Core and a GTX 760. Plays all if not most games on 1080p ultra.

I had thought about it, but then it doesn't settle my need to do school work outside the home. I was thinking of getting a tablet and a desktop but then It would limit the desktop price. I figured in the end it would be smarter to get a laptop.

Update, they just emailed me apologizing and saying they have forwarded this case onto a manager so he can give me a more definite time as to when it will be done.

I do admit I have read that the customer service is bad but I have had no issues so far and the person on the phone was in the U.S!

Maybe it's just a non-US thing. I ordered mine on the 15th, it shipped on the 16th and is being delivered on the 18th to Seattle area coming from North Carolina. I ordered the 900p, 24GB SSD and Blue Ray (was only $20 more than DVD)

After waiting half a month for mine, they finally shipped via UPS on 9/16 from China, somewhere within Shanghai and should arrive by this Friday. So that leads me to believe there computers ship from two different facilities, China and North Carolina. The NC manufacturing facility is still relatively new i heard.

I emailed them and they told me that their order tracker is broken and they would email me when it ships.
