    Hi guys
    :hi:
Does anyone replaced display of the UHD that have 40 pins on connector with the display (FHD 40 pins with 60hz or 144hz) in the Y50 lenovo UHD laptop?

Is the BIOS capable of detecting this change or not?

Does the refresh rate change to 60hz or 144hz after replacing to the FHD display?

My main question is, Will the (48 hz locked refresh rate) problem be solved by replacing display?

I want to change the screen to Full HD if this have possible.

    my laptop detail:

UHD screen 40 pins: Samsung FLLTN156FL02L01

    CPU: Intel 4710

    Graphics: 860 GTX

    Thank Regards

I used to own the exact same model. The problem was a combination of the screen being locked down. And the fact that the connection going through the intel iGPU being unable to support that resolution at 60hz. So best case scenario is that you drop down to 1080p and hope the vBios doesnt spaz (it shouldnt). Then you should be golden for at least 60Hz
