    Hi guys,

I'm debating whether to get Y500 sli or y410p (single) as they're both on sale in Canada until Wednesday or just wait until a sager coupon and get those.

I found the pcmark/3dmark scores for sagers, but can't seem to find anything for the newer y500 sli (rev2) or the y510p/y410p laptops.

If you have one, do you mind posting your scores for PCmark?

Also I was wondering if it's possible to buy and install an SSD as the primary storage + have the included 1TB drive as extra storage and have the 750m SLI at the same time or is the SSD only installable in the ultrabay?

    Thanks a lot

I can only address the last question. The Y500 has an msata ssd slot that allows you to add a ssd without disturbing the hard drive. I may be buying one tomorrow and if so will order a 256gb Plextor ssd from Newegg for $200. The Y510 has a newer standard for which ssd's should be available real soon now.

    This may be useful:

    y500:
    - SLI without any compromise on the CPU like the y510p
    - DVD drive availible on some models
    - Up to 16GB Msata SSD, thanks to an MSata port
    - up to 1080p screen
    - Num Pad
    - Bigger
    - Aluminium Finish
    - Starts at 799$ (Non-Sli)
    - Starts at 1149$ (Sli model)

    y410p:
    - Haswell (10% faster clock per clock)
    - Switchable graphics (HD 4600 + Nvidia 750m)
    - Smaller and lighter (1.5 inch and 0.5lbs) , also smaller and lighter power brick (120W vs 180W)
    - DVD drive included on all models (No SLI options)
    - Up to 900p resolution
    - No numpad = less cramped arrows keys
    - To to 24gb NGFF SSD, not as universal but its the future of mSSD's, thanks to an NGFF port
    - Carbon Fiber Finish
    - Starts at 799$

If you are going for intense gaming, get a y500 (skip the y510p since they are cutting down on the CPU), but if you need portability go for the y410p. Prices are in USD.

Im no expert in sagers :L

I usually buy from the major brands, mainly because of compatibility, legacy and support issues.
