My Lenovo y510p came with an ELAN trackpad and I've tried various fixes to improve it.

I followed the instructions on this post: forum.notebookreview.com/ideapad-essential/751866-installing-updated-elan-track-pad-drivers-y510p.html
and it's is a lot better with the use of the SmartArea, but my FN+F6 key doesn't work anymore to disable/enable the trackpad. I found out that now Page Down disables the touchpad and Insert enables the touchpad. Is there any way to change the toggles back to the original keys FN+F6?

And are there other solutions out there to improve a y510p ELAN trackpad?

Using the method listed on that forum I ended up installing driver version 11.8.20.3

The newer driver is available from Softpedia.

Toshiba Elantech TouchPad Driver 11.8.20.3 for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows XP 64 bit, Windows Vista 64 bit, Windows 7, Windows 7 64 bit, Windows 8, Windows 8 64 bit, Windows 8.1, Windows 8.1 64 bit Free Download

FN+F6 works correctly for me along with all of the other options on all of the other function keys.

Check the Device Manager to confirm what driver version you installed. I have a U.S. keyboard with the rectangular Enter key. It is using the Standard PS/2 Keyboard driver from Microsoft which is dated 6/21/2006

Did you follow all of the directions including the part about deleting the previous items from the registry? This is a must if you want the updated driver to work correctly.
