Im looking at both laptops for productivity work along with some gaming, 720s seems to be a sturdy build with aluminum material, while y530 is made of plastic. I want to be able to play some modern or old games, nothing too intensive or too demanding.

I don't know what to choose, I've never owned a Lenovo brand. Help me.

    Thank you guys.

Doing a bit of research, 720s has better color accuracy than y530. Better battery life as well I think.

720s - Very good screen, good keyboard/touchpad and a big battery.

CPU throttling issues, inconsistent fan speed noise, no 2.5" hard drive expansion and limited BIOS options.

If it wasn't for the CPU throttling issue, I would have jumped on the 720s 14 myself.

I can live with fan noise, less robust BIOS options and get a bigger SSD, however CPU throttling made this laptop a no buy for me.
