I bought a yoga 2 pro through best buy during the Black Friday deals. Website says it will be available for pick up on Dec 5. Should i just return it without opening the package?

The reason I ask this is because I've been doing some research online about this laptop and people are complaining about all kinds of issues with wifi, color inaccuracy, power..etc. There seems to be some fixes available to resolve some of these issues. some even recommend changing the wireless card. Is it worth all this hassle?

I currently own a gaming laptop which is quite heavy and gets really hot and not really that portable. I am looking for a light weight, high performance laptop as an alternative. I will mostly use this for work( vpn, ms office, remote desktop), browsing and maybe some media like photos, music and movies.

So based on my requirements, what do you suggest i do. should i just return the yoga pro and get the surface pro 3? is there any other better alternative available?

    any help appreciated!

These issues are fixed in the Best Buy version. I bought mine also from Best Buy about 2 months ago and no issues so far. We also jus got one for my Mom with their Black Friday deal this past weekend.

I'm having to return a XPS13 after 2 months of Dell trying to figure out my problems. I noticed some really good deals on Lenova's site for the Yoga 2 Pro (5-4210U Processor (1.70GHz 1600MHz 3MB), 8GB Ram, 256 SSD for $929)

You mention the Best Buy's version being fixed of the issues but has the one on Lenova's site been fixed. Thanks for any info!

i read online somewhere that product code starting with 594 is the latest version. This is what best buy is selling. 593 is the older version with all the issues. make sure you check the product details before you buy.

I double checked Lenova site and it's : Part number: 59428037, so I think I'm good.
