hey guys,
i've read several threads about how people have gotten their z series webcams working in vista by using the Sonix driver (and not the NVision one that vista wants to install), although they report that the light doesn't turn on
so i have the right driver, but it doesn't show up when i try to use the webcam thru Vista's photo explorer program thing.
what programs are you guys using for your webcams?

I use AMCAP, which somehow got installed on my notebook through one of the zillions of SDKs I have. It's pretty basic but works well.
You can google for it, it's easy to find a download. Or look here for instance. -
1pennyshort, does your webcam show up under "scanners and cameras" under "hardware and sound" in the control panel?
-
No, I *think* only USB devices will show up in that section.
I do see mine in the device manager, under Imaging Devices.
z series webcam program for vista?
