    Hello,

My z580 laptop screen shows screen artifacts/flickering when I move the screen. When it is left untouched, the screen output is normal. This started occuring Tuesday night (4/9/13).

With an external monitor while still using the laptop screen, the external monitor's picture is unaffected when I move the laptop screen.
I get the same issue when I move the screen during boot up.

I bought the laptop in September so its still under warranty, but I'd like to hear some ideas as to what the problem may be.

    specs:
    i5-3210m
    630m gt
    6 gigs ram

    Thanks.

If you don't mind the warranty, take it apart using the tech repair manual as a guide and re-seat the LCD cables. Otherwise, something's loose in there and it would be best to have it taken care of ASAP under warranty.
