    I'm buying a z61t with advanced dock. I had a question.

Do we have to shutdown the laptop when docking/undocking ???. I have seen the laptop (t43) shutting down if you take it off the docking station when running.

I know on my T30 its hot dockable. I can put it on and off at any point and it doesnt have to shutdown, standby, or anything like that. There is the option to have it hibernate or go into standby in options i believe.

You should not have to shut down.
