Owners of TP Z61t please share what's the CPU temp range you see in your TP Z61t. Mine is 50 degree Celsius - 79 Celsius and even to 85 degree Celsius at times . I just wanted to measure against others before I returned the one I just bought.

if 50 degrees is in idle, that's slightly too much.
I had T61 and it was idling at around 40 degrees with Penryn processor.

    What CPU do you have?

The Meroms do run hotter than the Penryn Core 2 Duo's but the temperature sound about OK if 50c in idle so its not defective in that sense.

that's about it, nothing wrong with your CPU.

I'd suggest undervolting that one to lower the temps by as much as 10 deg C (in my case, when I had T7500)
