    Can anyone tell me what kind of memory comes in the z61t? If I buy DDR2 1GB PC5300 will those work?

    it has 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) RAM.

    i believe your ram will work.

    PC5300 is exactly what your laptop comes with from the factory. buy.com has a nice deal on kingston 1gb so-dimms right now...30 bucks.
