    hi guys,
i just did a couple of searches, but I couldn't find the threads I was looking for.

basically, i noticed that my 2 week old Thinkpad plastic casing doesn't seamlessly connect near where the arrow keys are on the right side of the case (and right below the speaker casing), and the bottom piece jets out a little bit. it's only about a millimeter or two, but it definitely is not intentional.

it doesn't bother me too much, but i noticed that it does cause the keys around that area (especially the arrow keys) to kinda stick for a brief moment after they are pressed. When i push the piece of plastic down to where it should be, the key response is perfect. I remember reading other posts about this and finding out that it's pretty common.

Is it worth trying to get the laptop replaced? is it too late for that? (i ordered it 1/02 and received it 1/22. i read somewhere that we only have 14 days from ordering date... but that can't be right if you don't even have the product by then!)

also, i'm almost tempted to try and work something where i can see how the widescreen 14" T60 is and perhaps switch? Is there any angle I can work there?

thanks for all the help guys. this forum has been really helpful and i check it daily!

ps: on a totally unrelated note, how long does it take your computers to check the "embedded security chip" on bootup? i've posted about this earlier, and I realized after that that it takes about 45 seconds when it's connected to the dock (which seems really long). when not docked, it still takes about 20 seconds (kinda long, but bearable). is that about right? does anybody else that has a dock notice longer times when docked?

It is a 21 day return policy, but they start the clock when the notebook is shipped, not when you receive it. Sort of misleading in my opinion. Could see what Lenovo says about it. No help on the chip, I disabled mine.

is that return policy only valid under factory defects? or would it be applicable even if i chose to switch to a different model?
