Note: Make sure you get the 2018 model. It has the web cam on the top of the screen and also features a finger-print reader and a Thunderbolt 3 port.

Thanks for that. It looks like the 15.6" laptop is not to difficult to open and would support up to 2x2TB SATA SSD drives. Unfortunately I don't see any option for a matte display.

 

Touch screen displays tend to be glossy. It is possible that the non-touch screen versions (listed below) have a less glossy display:

One Amazon customer answers the question: "Does this laptop have a matte or glossy display?" with "It’s on the glossy side. "

 

I've had hands-on with the Gram 15Z980. The display is glossy ... reflective surface. You can see yourself in it pretty clearly when the display is off, just like a mirror.

I have the 2016 version and I can't stand the glossy screen, if there is a window or a neon light that is in direct sight of the screen I have to tilt the screen, incredibly annoying. Otherwise it's a great laptop. Why do they make these glossy screens?! They are so useless!

 

I just placed an order for gram 15z980. Do both m.2 slots support nvme ssd? Does the empty ram slot support 16gb memory?
