I own a ls55 express for 10 months now, and yesterday encountered a problem
after discharging the battery to the point the computer shutdown on it's own. I
also upgraded the battery miser versions:
    Build number : 3.3706.0601
    Embedded firmware06.22
    Driver ver: 2.33

The problem is that as of now the battery would not charge above 40 percent. if I disconnect and immediately reinsert the ac cable it will charge up another percent and stop.

Does anyone had this happen to him, is the firmware might be the problem? or should I just go and buy a new battery?

    Thanks in advance.

revert back to the old battery miser and try to recharge the battery.

Don't think about buying a new one right away, if it is under warranty, RMA the battery and you will get a new one.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you for your quick reply MysticGolem ,

I have tried to go back in (Battery Miser) versions (two versions one from the cd one from the site), and the battery miser version and driver version was changed but the firmware version is still the same. Since I haven't tasted the firmware version prior to the problem I can't really tell if this is the cause.

Does anyone know if Battery Miser actually update the firmware or am I just blaming this poor software in something it does not do.

Unfortunetly for me I don't have a warranty, as I didn't sent the warranty card.

Just because you didn't send in the warranty card doesn't mean you don't get warranty. Contact the LG service center and they will take care of you.

Thank you all for the reply,

Checking the warranty i witnessed the fact that the battery is only six months of warrenty. But testing deeper into the thing I downloaded battery eater ( www.battereater.com) And the program shows that as far as it can tell i'm using a 3 cells battery. Can it be that 3 cells out of a 6 cells battery just stoped wroking?

As no one else seems to have this problem it's not the firmware, I guess I would just have to go out and buy a new battery.

    Thank you all again.
