Just recently whenever I boot up my laptop, two pop-ups appear, one from Battery Miser 2005 telling me Invalid Access: Unavailable for current Account & another from IP Operator saying its not operatable on this system. I've had the laptop for a while and its never happened before. Anyone got any ideas what's going on?

No idea but just try to reinstall

reinstalling the software usually solves the problem all together. -
Hey mate. I am having that exact same problem with a customers LG laptop at the moment. In addition, I have found that "User accounts" (located under the control panel) is inaccessible.
The customer has also reported that her copy of Windows XP displays an error message saying that the system is non-genuine whenever she runs a defrag on her system. I have been unable to recreate this fault however.
At this time, I am still trying to repair the fault. Right now, I am running a full offline checkdisk on this machine (chkdsk /r C, and have found a very significantly large amount of errors. The checkdisk is currently ongoing, but I'll let ya know if this fixes the problem.
...provided of course that this guest account isn't disabled, and I don't forget to write
Sincerely Yours,

Bah, didn't work. I found and fixed many errors with chkdsk, and restored acess to "User accounts". The original fault however still exists.
...I'm recovering this lappy
