Hi there - I read the post about removing the LG S1 keyboard which worked awesome.

I'm trying to clean my laptop. I have a cat and I know that there is a ton of hair inside, in fact there's so much the fan has stopped working. The same thing happened a couple of years ago and it cost me $75 to have it fully cleaned!

I've taken all the screws out but can't figure out how to get inside.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I never open my S1 all I do is removing the keyboard then using a good vacuum to suck all the dirt out from the fan and sides....

glad to see someone beside me still holding the marvelous LG S1 ... :D

There is a service manual for the S1 out there. I don't have a copy on my hard drive, but I've downloaded it before.

I took my old S1 to the LG service center in Hong Kong just a few days ago, with overheating issues (it's 4 years old and a lot of dust got stuck inside). I asked them to clean it and make it work again and they said it will be Hong Kong Dollars $500 + any damaged parts. That's like US$ 65. I'll see what they did when I get it back. It's a great notebook!
