Does anyone have any clue how to utilize the 4GB RAM on P300 vista?

Until now - the vendor told me only 3GB actually work on the LG P300 with VISTA. I thought its something that must have been resolved by now - since the system shows 4GB but uses only 3GB of the installed RAM. it seams it never reaches the upper memory, and stops at 3GB. any idea?

On the first screenshot, it says 32-bit operating system. You need to be running a 64-bit edition of the operating system to utilise the whole 4GB... Honestly, depending on what you do, you probably would not notice the difference from 3GB to 4GB..

You will need Windows 64Bit OS to utilise all 4GB of RAM
    Windows 32bit OS's can only use 3GB.

is this true for XP as well? it seems to show 4GB installed, if its recognized what might be the reason the OS can't use it? I do need the 1GB more - CAD operations

ANY 32bit OS can NOT use all 4GB, can use upto 3069 - 3300 only.
you will still need ANY 64bit OS to use all 4GB.
So yes you will need a 64Bit XP version.
