    Hi,
I just got a new LG R405-A.C2ABE and it came with vista home basic.
Some software I need for work wont run on it so I want to install XP on it but I cant find any driver for the ATI Radeon xPress 1250 on it - all the catalist installations I've tried gave me the same error msg:

setup did not find a driver compatible with your current hardware or operating system. setup will now exit

Can anyone help me out?! :(

I had the same problems with my x1100 IGP a year back. The ATI catalyst drivers would not recognize my card because it was still new. But after a while, they updated the drivers to include the xpress series. I believe they just aren't ready yet for your card.

OK - this is somewhat encouraging - is there anything I can do now? is there some alternative I can try?
