Anyone has disassembled their E500??.. I have a crack front and back at the lower left hand corner where the hinge is. Would like to see if I could fix it.

I fixed it ..The actual problem is the LCD screen support bars cracked from stress as it is attached to the hinge.

Front and back cover cost 230$ from factory + labor +tax.

I just use advance super bond super glue and saved me $330. The force causing the crack when we open the cover, the force is flexing the cover when the metal bar broke. I suggest when you start seeing crack on your cover, it means the metal bar supporting the LCD module has metal fatigue and may already break into two piece. You should open to fix , otherwise the crack on your plastic cover will grow and may break apart.

You just have to swap left with the right side bars without buying a new pair for another couple years. The new bars cost 55$ a pair.

I have the exact same problem. I would like to buy spares and fix it, but I cannot figure out from this list which are the parts needed:

    Spares LG

I would need two hinges, front cover, screen frame.

Can anyone help, please? Thank you.

you should call LG parts directly. They will send you a pdf picture of the assembly.get a high resolution one if you could. I had checked with them for mine cracked cover, frame support. their parts cost a lot.
