I just discovered lg like five minutes ago and the e500 and r405 have garnered my interest. i'm planning to replace my asus this summer and don't want to spend more than $1100.

I'm particularly concerned about the keyboards of the r405 and e500. a review on this website mentioned that the r500 keyboard was french/canadian.

Some one please help me decide! my question will only take a minute to answer!

does anyone know if the standard u.s. keyboard is available?

also how does the squashed keys of the e500 effect typing?

would i have any problems or need to pay extra if i tried to purchase either notebook from a canadian dealer.

How is the build quality of e500 and r405? Are there any design issues?

    How is the performance?

Would you buy the notebook again?
