need quick explanation why 8600 is considered to be faster graphics then 9300, and where will I feel the differences? Thanks
-
the 9300 is a pretty low end integrated graphics chip. the 8600 is a mid ranged dedicated gpu. the 8600 is way faster you'll feel the difference in any game or graphics application

Although the 8600M GT is a superior performer, it is also one of the nVIDIA models that is prone to fail prematurely. -
8600 will give you better gaming.

8600 is better and if its a GT that pretty much seals it.
-
don't let the higher numbers deceive you. 8600 is a better card especially the GT series. 9300 is crap

a 9300 gpu is equivalent to a 8400 gs

Thanks to all - I thought its a bit missleading from Nvidia to use upper numbers for lower power... but that's their marketing problem...
-
Thanks, That's what I was fearing... but I canceled the order. and bought the P300 (nvidia 8600)

the p300 is a fine notebook enjoy

The only problem is that the 8 series are prone to overheating and failure, especially the 8600GT.

this notebook has a 8600 gs so there wont be much worry
-
I currently have the 8600GS model, so your telling me I will be prone to faulty heat problems?
-
No, you'll be fine. Just check your temps occasionally like any other laptop, it shouldn't be burning a hole in your pants when you put it on your lap.
