    Hi

    I'm currently hesitating on the purchase of a notebook. I hesitating between a Dell Studio 17 and a LG R710.

    I want o have your opinion on the general quality of the Notebook produce by LG, ar they reliable? I'm planning to keep this notebook for about 4-5 years, is that possible?

    although people seem to differentiate between Korean and Chinese made LG laptops, the former being thought of as better quality, i think LG's in general are of a better build quality than Dell Studios and Inspirons.

    go to a Future Shop and check out both their offerings. i find Inspirons'/Studios' build quality really junky, cheap and flimsy compared to LG and other brands. and check out the Studio subforum in the Dell section, there's plenty of complaints about the garbage speakers and track pad problems among other things. if it has to be a Dell, their business line is better
