LG R500 vista

I have just a few questions that arent major issues but i was hoping that someone could help me.

I know the R500 isnt a tablet but i found this forum through google

Firstly my synapsis touchpad constantly crashes and i cant scroll using the pad
is this common to LG Laptops? my friends have HPs and never seem to experience this issue

Secondly my laptop came with Realtek HD that has SRS
before when i would press the volume up or down it would show on the screen where i was in a blue bar that would be horizontal across the bottom of the screen. and when i would press my SRS button it would allow me to scroll through 3 options SRS off, SRS true sound and realtek HD i had each of these tuned to different settings to allow for the best sound in different situations.

now in the past couple of days this blue bar has gone away and i cant seem to get different sound settings it seems as if it is permanently set to SRS off and i have made sure that it is technically turned on through the audio manager.

finally the same bar would come up when i would adjust brightness and it is no longer there.

the problem with the blue bar started right after i turned off a couple of programs that would come up on start up. as i do this every once and a while i dont know which programs i turned off and i think it may be there. does anyone know which program exactly runs this bar?

Well the same happened to me in vista e LG S510 (for the synaptics part) usually when I would debug some C# programs (wich in managed code is a big ). Never found the reason as it seemed randomly and therefore never a solution. I can only advise you to keep ugrading to the last synaptics software and hope it works better for you than it did for me :/
On the other hand you migth want to try Win7. After installing it never had that problema again.

For the bar with the common multimedia controls have you tried to reinstall the OSD software for your laptop? It should be in LG website.

 

i just did system restore to before i changed the settings luckily i installed nero prior to that so there was a recent point. i tried ti re-installs first but no luck on that

I also have LG R500 and I have found its touchpad very good indeed. No problems so far. Try to install latest drivers from synaptics website and use LG inteligent update to update OSD software, another thing, Install latest realtek drivers for high def audio from realtek website.

When I bought my pc all this components worked well but the problems apeared when I decided to use the recovery disk.

At the beginning, fingerprint reader disapeared and It´s never come back (I can´t see its driver in lg intelligent update).

I've been having problems such as: lg smart cam, I lost graphical interface of windows vista, and others components

I have lots of problems with my LG R500 Touchpad. Several times when I turn on my PC it doesn´t work, so unless I have my USB mouse I have serious problems to turn off the PC!


And the worst of all is that problems only happen sometimes, not always!!
If I restart my pc these problems usually disapear......

Could you please measure the space bar key on your R500? I have a R510 and mine broke, I want to know if the R500 keys fit the R510!
