    Hi

I'm leaning towards an T1 at the moment but I'm stuck between the different versions.

I've read on more than one site that an extra battery is included?
I've never heard of something like that so that makes me skeptical.

How many and what specs to the batteries have that you get with the package?

Another thing that worries me is all the different versions. If they have changed pretty much everything between the different versions that makes one wonder if different versions has different batteries.

And, whats the battery-life on it? (with what battery?)
How much does the large one bump out of the case?

If I have understood it correctly there is one 6cel battery included (original size) and one expensive 9cel (larger) battery that you can buy. But that doesn't explain about the supposedly spare battery.

Also, if anyone has any info about a BIOS update that will allow merom CPUs I would be interested.

My T1 came with only 1 battery. The one I have does not stick out of the case, it is flush with the back of the laptop. I get around four hours on battery; note that this is with the screen on 6/8 brightness, wireless internet on, Winamp playing constantly, several Firefox windows open & other programs running ... so, you can probably get more than that if you turn stuff off and/or tweak settings. I haven't bothered to undervolt, so that may help too.

    Thanks.

Yeah, seems that I got that part with two batteries wrong, all other sources say that the extra batteries are optional.

Looking at your review though you state that you have a T2400 CPU, but the system proporties windows says L2400.

    I'm wondering whether I should get the T2500 (2GHz) version or the L2300 (1.5 GHz low-voltage) version.
A litle afraid that the T2500 will drain the battery and be bad for the noise but the L2300 is a bit slow...
The TDP on the T2500 is 31W and for L2300 it is 15W so theres a big difference but unless stressed it's not certain that there will probably be much smaller differences. The L2300 model comes with XP Home though, not a fan of Home edition. The T2500 comes with XP Pro but there is a price difference to consider too...
One could hope for the L2300 to actually be a L2400, I haven't seen the L2300 anywhere but on one site. Of course that might explain the price also...

If I knew I could upgrade the L2300 to a (perhaps non-low-voltage) Merom later on I'd probably pick that. But that would require the cooling to be identical between the different versions of the T1 (probably is but you never know) and that LG releases an firmware for Merom.

The L2300 model I'm talking about is "LG T1-52RRV" if that makes any sense to anyone.

Oops, yea that's a typo, should be L2400 in my review. I really don't know a lot about the diffs btwn L & T models, wattages and so on, as far as power drain & noise, so unfortunately I can't be much help there. :(
