I have been a silent reader hunting for tips in this forum for quite a bit, while i was making my choices of a notebook. I eventually settled for a LP60, and just want to tell you all it's a bomb of a machine.
Pentium IV - 3.06 with HT.
    60 Gb hdd
64 mb ati radeon 9600 [i wanted to upgrade to a 128 mb but they refused]
512 mb ddr ram [They upgraded 2x 256 for 1x512 for no charge.
    15.4 wide screen
    dvd+- r/ r/w

I have been using it since a week, and find absolutely no faults with it. the Screen is totally awsome and can easily be the second best to a Sony.
Yes, its a heavy notebook and the battery life isnt excatly amazing, but then that was a personal choice i made over a centrino and I am not complaining.

    Milkman,
If transportation to and fro doesnt cost you much, or if it is covered in warranty, get your piece changed. One Pixel is one too many :)
