Hi guys, i just got my t1 core duo 1.66ghz notebook last month. Within about a month or so i have only been able to use download softwares and games about literaly 5% of the time, and i know it's not because of corrupted files because these files work just fine on my older computer.

I really didn't think this notebook would have such an annoying problem before i brought it, and now i am really starting to regret buying this notebook. This is a problem that is not only affecting me but everyone else that already has this computer and future owners. If anyone know how to disable it or other solutions please do share.

A fresh T1 has the TPM disabled in BIOS.
The first thing I did was to remove the TPM software. I also manually deleted some files. I'm not sure it's all gone, in fact, I'm pretty sure there's something left, somewhere... Well, can't help feeling a little worried.
I would also assume however that the problems you are experiencing aren't connected to the TPM-sw/hw. I mean why do you think it's the TPM? Do you get some kind of warning or error?
I haven't used XP since I got Ubuntu working on my T1, so I'm very happy with my laptop :D

all the programs that isn't working on my program is working elsewhere, the only difference is that i have a tpm chip. And after reading about the side effects of the tpm chip i concluded that it's the tpm chip causing the problem.

To be a bit more specific some of the softwares are downloaded and some are on cds, mostly games such as fifa 2006, starcraft, CSI 5. Can some one please be more specific on how to disable the tpm and remove all tpm related softwares?
